国際バカロレア（IB）教育をヒントにした探究学習
― 子供たちはどう学び、どう育つのか ―

文部科学省IB教育推進コンソーシアムでは、教育に関心をお持ちのすべての方を対象に、「第12回 国際バカロレア推進シンポジウム」を開催いたします。
国際バカロレア（IB）教育は、学習指導要領が目指す学びを具現化するための具体的な方法や示唆を提供する教育プログラムです。
本シンポジウムでは、「探究学習」をテーマに、探究学習の第一人者の一人であるトレバー・マッケンジー氏による基調講演をはじめ、幼稚園・小学校・中学校・高等学校におけるIB校で実践されている探究学習の事例の紹介、さらにIB修了生による座談会を実施します。「探究学習」の理論から実践、そして学習者にもたらす効果まで、多様な視点から「探究学習」について考える機会となります。
また当日は、国際バカロレア（IB）の教育効果等に関する調査研究チームによる発表を予定しています。最新の調査結果を通して、IB教育の成果や可能性について理解を深めるとともに、今後の教育実践を考える上での示唆を得ることができます。
参加は無料です。皆様のご参加を心よりお待ちしております。

Inquiry Learning Inspired by International Baccalaureate (IB) Education
— How Do Children Learn and Grow? —
MEXT Consortium for Promotion of IB Education is pleased to host the 12th International Baccalaureate Promotion Symposium, open to all individuals interested in education.
The International Baccalaureate (IB) is an educational programme that offers practical approaches and insights for realizing the learning goals outlined in Japan’s Course of Study.
This symposium will focus on inquiry learning and will feature a keynote presentation by Trevor MacKenzie, one of the leading experts in the field. The programme will also include presentations on inquiry-learning practices implemented at IB schools across early childhood education, elementary, middle, and high school levels, as well as a roundtable discussion with IB alumni. Participants will have the opportunity to explore inquiry learning from a variety of perspectives, including its theoretical foundations, practical applications, and impact on learners.
The symposium will also include a presentation by a research team examining the educational impact of the International Baccalaureate. Through the latest findings, participants will gain a deeper understanding of the outcomes and potential of IB education and consider implications for future educational practice.
The keynote presentation will be delivered in English with Japanese subtitles. Other sessions will be conducted primarily in Japanese; however, English subtitles will be available through Zoom’s live translation and captioning features.
