*Considerations when an Article-one school becomes an IB World school
For a school stipulated by Article 1 of the School Education Act to become an IB World School, it must satisfy both the laws and regulations related to the School Education Act and the curriculum determined by the International Baccalaureate Organization. Each school is required to creatively organize and implement the curriculum by comparing the objectives and contents of each subject provided by the curriculum guidelines with the contents of the IB curriculum and by adding the contents provided by curriculum guidelines to the IB curriculum to handle both contents appropriately.
For example, some MYP schools improve the method of teaching so that students can be aware of the connection to real society by emphasizing inter-subject collaboration on the premise of subjects based on the curriculum guidelines. Meanwhile, some DP schools enable students to take most of the prerequisite subjects in their first year and take subjects that correspond to the International Baccalaureate curriculum as school-designated from their second year onwards.
